"PUSHING PAINT"

STUDIO TAG

NY, NY

"Pushing Paint" was a solo exhibition that featured Justin's work in different settings in the Studio Tag Design Showroom. He worked with the Emma Robson, the Creative Director to design pieces that would add excitement and movement to the space while complimenting the furniture. All works were acrylic on paper in various sizes showcasing Justin's concept of "Pushing Paint' and his signature movements with negative space. AGP Designs translated two of Justin's paintings into large format vinyl appliqué on glass. The opening event was attended by Tommy Hilfiger, VOGUE magazine editors and many other fashion and interior design executives.

The location was perfect for his first solo show in NYC, given the artists musical background. It is a building steeped in musical history. The famed Birdland Jazz Club is on the ground floor, John Lennon's studio still exists on the 6th and the building was once home of The Record Plant.

The partnership between Justin and Studio Tag continues and the showroom is updated seasonally with new works.
